Early Child Care and Development (ECCD) project is one of MCMDO’s projects under Education thematic area which has been implemented in partnership with plan international Ethiopia since 2013. Children participating in early learning programs acquire foundational skills that contribute to their long-term performance and success in primary school.

The project target all children’s (birth to 8); it will geographically address in (Addis Ababa City Administration Yeka sub city woreda 12 and Woreda 14). On this project communities will develop and learn to their full potential through effective, inclusive and holistic ECCD supports.

The project specifically aims Parents and guardians take action to improve the development (including care, learning and protection) of children ages birth to 8 years, all children’s aged 4 to 6 years, participate in quality and inclusive early learning programs that promote the development of physical, cognitive, social, emotional and language skills, effective school and community supports are in place to ensure successful transitions to primary school, Government and non-government actors in ECCD work in partnership to ensure the development and protection of all children at community, district, region and national level.
