MCMDO is implementing the Child SPACE/ program through DIRC to address the problems of street children and Youth, focusing on rehabilitation of street children for the well-being of children by establishing a child friendly environment in its service provision.
The training majorly focus on demonstrate positioning & attachment of breast feeding and to guide and demonstrate the participant mothers how to prepare nutritious foods and how to feed for their children in their places.
During the training detail lecture together with practical demonstration, video and roll play applied to bring the intended result. Beside, food items were distributed for participant mothers that help to strengthen their cooking demonstration immediately in their home.
In the future child space DIRC team plan to conduct screening of malnourished children and to provide referral linkage with nearby health centres, to conduct the training at least twice a year and to conduct supportive supervision of young mothers at their living place regarding to complementary feeding and related issues.
